Station provides virtual private servers(?) for Ruby on Rails hosting and other applications in our Auckland datacentre.
A VPS is for those who require the security and convenience of your own dedicated server, but with little investment and lower ongoing costs. This allows you "root" access to install whatever technology you require.
If your primary audience is in New Zealand, a locally hosted site will be significantly more responsive than an overseas host.
Station runs dual-processor, quad-core Intel Xeon servers. All your data is RAID-1 mirrored.
